Such a nice morning, i decided to go wander at Tranq to see how the dirt work was going.

Depending on how they clean up when they are done in April, we may not have much work to do to get the old sections running again. As it sits, the south hill descent is unrideable and should be avoided. I was thinking we could run the blue section down to the inner loop for now and just bypass the whole section for now.

The trail is pure slop, even at 9 in the morning. Hopefully people have the sense to stay of the trails this weekend....
Welp, just got back from Chicago. I had heard about the Plainfield Skills Park on mtbr and thought i'd give it a look. Unfortunatly it was buried in 6" of snow, so i couldn't see much of the trail. It is a progressive jump park with a pump track and ttf section. I did get some pics of the entrance barrier and signage. Something Martin had brought up when discussing our BSA at Tranq.

They had a kiosk at the parking lot entrance, another at the entrance of the entrance and another as you got thru the gate. No one was going to be able to say they didn't see the signage. Overall, it looked pretty sweet. They are still working on the ttf section. Check out the cambr.org site for more info on the trails and better pics of the park. Nicely done website too.

Hope to get back out there in the summer and hit some trails!
